November 14, 2009 was a very historical day for Philippine Cheerleading for a reason that the first ever National Cheerleading Championship Regional Camp was held on Mindanao(finally!!yahoo!!).
The said cheer camp started at around 9 am participated by the following institutions: Bukidnon National High School(the only high school participant), Notre Dame University of Cotabato City, MSU-IIT of Iligan City and Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan. The main purpose of the said event is to impart to the participants the basics and proper executions of cheerleading. The coaches throughout the event reiterated the 3 rules which are SAFETY, SAFETY, and SAFETY!
