The 3rd Mindanao Blogging Summit. The first time that I heard this event was the time I joined one of the meetings of cdobloggers. I could still remember how excited they were when they have talked about the said event will be held at Cagayan de Oro City. Instantly, I became interested in the said event and hopeful that I can join that event.
Many months have passed and after all those hard work that the cdobloggers have been to, there is no stopping th MBS3. I then decided to register to the event, borrowing my registration fee to one of my idol (you know who you are ^^). The said summit consist of two(2) days. The first day was a lecture on basically how to run blogs and making money out of it. The second day was all about the fun in which we had the choice between the city tour and the white water rafting. As I was going to the event, I also saw a billboard selling the event to the vehicles beside Marcos bridge(powered by Magnet Advertising).
This I arrived at Pealmont Inn at excatly 8am with my friend Francis. After the registration, we were given a colored envelope which contains all the neccesary stuff like tourism leaflets, hotel room prices, stickers and many more. Spruce also gave a stylish lanyard for our ID. The morning session was graced by some know personalities namely U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Ms. Leslie Basset that delivered U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenny's Message to the Mindanao Bloggers, Atty. Adel Tamano which is popularly known as the lawyer of Vicky Belo and the President of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila which talked about leadership through his experience as a President on the said university. Government Officials like CDO Mayor Tinnex Jaraula and Agusan Representative Rodolfo “Ompong” Plaza.
After the Morning session, we had our very delicious lunch and while we were eating, prizes and surprises were given away like a sleek Havaianas key chain, Smart Plug-it courtesy of Smart Communication, Basic Water Rafting Course given by www.raftingadventurephilippines.com, and alot more.
The afternoon session was packed with lectures about learning how to start a blog for beginners like me, how to advertise your blog to create traffic and finally earning from your blog. After those lectures, we were given an update of the bloggers on the different key places here in Mindanao.
This event would not be possible if not for our sponsors like Smart Communication, Syntactics Inc, 1st Rafting Adventure, Nokia Ovi, Makati Ave, The Site, RG & K Construction.
